A Thousand Rivulets Run is a new documentary by coastal filmmaker Sam Ghioto. Sam is the recipient of Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant's 2024-2025 Artists, Writers and Scholars award (see more here).

About the film:

A Saint Simons Island local, grieving the decline of his father's health, returns to and becomes obsessed with the Georgia salt marsh and uncovers the lesser-known political and ecological battles that conserved the hundred-mile coastline. Ultimately he realizes that the illusion of permanence, in family and in nature, is the greatest threat of all.
